- What is Ability Bazaar?
Ability Bazaar (www.abilitybazaar.com) is a disability-led online marketplace operated by Vision-Aid, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. People with disabilities build accessible AI apps and deliver expert accessibility services - WCAG 2.2 audits, VPAT/ACR documentation and assistive-technology testing - for customers worldwide.
- What is an ABLE accessibility scan and how much does it cost?
The $199 Advanced Accessibility Scan covers up to 200 unique public pages on one website. A blind or low-vision accessibility expert validates and prioritises up to 20 highest-impact distinct automated findings and performs focused checks on 3 key public pages. The prioritised report is delivered within three business days. Comprehensive manual review and assistive-technology testing are available for an additional cost; request a custom quote through the contact form. A free automated screening of one page is also available.
- Who performs the accessibility testing?
The $199 scan is run by our automated scanning technology and delivered within three business days. Before delivery, a blind or low-vision accessibility expert validates up to 20 priority findings and performs focused checks on 3 key pages. For a comprehensive manual audit or real assistive-technology testing, request a custom quote through the contact form; trained experts who are blind or have low vision perform that work.
- What accessibility services does Ability Bazaar offer?
We offer a $199 automated scan of up to 200 public pages with a focused blind or low-vision expert review, delivered within three business days; $199, $499 and $899 PDF, Word and PowerPoint remediation packages with screen-reader validation; $500 and $1,000 website or app launch packages; and custom detailed reviews, manual WCAG 2.2 audits, VPAT/ACR documentation, assistive-technology testing, and accessible web, mobile and AI application development. Use the contact form to request an estimate for custom work.
- What do the document-remediation packages include?
Document Starter is $199 for up to 30 standard PDF, Word or PowerPoint pages within 5 business days; Document Standard is $499 for up to 90 pages within 7 business days; and Document Pro is $899 for up to 180 pages within 10 business days. A fillable form, data table, scanned/OCR page, chart or infographic counts as 2 pages. Files are tested against relevant WCAG 2.2 success criteria, PDFs are also tested against applicable PDF/UA criteria, and every file is verified with NVDA or JAWS by a blind or low-vision professional. Excel workbooks, complex fillable forms, rush work and 500+ page collections need a custom quote.
- What do the $500 and $1,000 build packages include?
The $500 Starter package covers up to 10 pages or screens, 1 simple workflow, 2 revision rounds, 5 live support hours and one year of hosted service at no additional hosting charge. The $1,000 Growth package covers up to 20 pages or screens, 2 workflows, 1 selected integration, 3 revision rounds, 10 live support hours and one year of hosted service at no additional hosting charge. Both can be used for a website, web app, installable mobile-friendly web app or AI prototype. Customers may use an Ability Bazaar address or choose a custom domain billed at its actual registration cost; native app-store work and paid third-party usage are separate.
- What accessible AI apps are in the catalogue?
SEP AI Tutor - a live, voice-first AI tutor for spoken-English practice designed with and for visually impaired learners, supporting 12+ Indian coaching languages - plus Arohi (institutional pilot in scoping) and Nidra (working prototype).
- How does buying from Ability Bazaar create impact?
Every order creates paid, skilled work for people with disabilities - as accessibility testers, app creators and entrepreneurs. Revenue flows through Vision-Aid programs that train and employ the workforce with disabilities that delivers the work.
